3 Gifts to Give

Can you believe it? Christmas is right around the corner! With less than 20 days to go, you may be feeling a bit worn out already. Questioning the perfect gift to get so and so can be exhausting. The holidays are stressful for everyone.”Must find the perfect gift” mentality can sure be exhausting…I’ve been there.

It doesn’t have to be a season of anxiousness. If you are like me, opening gifts can be nerve wracking too. My food allergies and scent intolerance often leave me worried what will be under the cute bows. Whether buying the gift or receiving the gift, together we can enjoy Christmas by following this simple, yet meaning gift guide…

Consider this holiday one for us both to enjoy with these safe and thoughtful gifts.

Not every gift has to be given on Christmas Day. Traditionally this is the day to receive magical gifts, but sometimes those with illnesses need a little gift from others throughout the year.

A fun, simple, and cost efficient give to give or ask for this holiday is a Coupon Book. It can so easily be made. A few friends noted to me that sometimes they need a ride to a doctors appointment, or a movie day with their friends.

Consider making or purchasing a coupon book for your loved one this holiday. Donating your time to help with chores, errands and or allowing someone to get a glimpse of relaxation is the perfect gift for someone who may be struggling with their health this holiday.

Driving someone to an appointment could make someones Christmas. You can customize a personal coupon book at the link below.

2.  Weighted Blanket

You can never go wrong with giving someone a blanket. Weighted blankets are totally in and can be used year round. Who wouldn’t love a gift that can be used all of the time? I know I would. For an extra special gift, you can buy a blanket to match the color of your loved ones room.

Weighted blankets have great benefits that go beyond warmth. They can reduce anxiety, stress, and insomnia. Those with ADHD may focus better while using one. Individuals may feel their symptoms of restless leg syndrome are at ease when comforted by this blanket. Theres been stories of these blankets relieving  chronic pain symptoms. Who wouldn’t love this? Everyone can always use a new blankie.

3. Be Present & Have Perspective

Gifts do not have to be unwrapped in pretty boxes. Gifts can be as simple as your presences and perspective. The holidays can be difficult for those with disabilities. Even for those who don’t have disabilities, there is always stress and anxieties that come about because of the holidays.

Consider giving time, love, and trust to others in need. Open your eyes, arms and heart to those who are hurting. The gift of being there for someone will mean more than any toy or gadget.

This holiday season, make an effort to be present in someones life. We never know the exact state or perception in which someone is in. Try to see the world through the eyes of someone else. When you do so, you’ll see that your actions are a gift towards yourself as well.

Happy Holidays! What are you most looking forward to about the holiday season?

Thanks for reading, Be Merry.
